what is 100 Gbps ?

100 Gigabit Ethernet
a group of computer networking technologies for transmitting Ethernet frames at rates of 100 gigabits per second. this technology was first defined by the IEEE 802.3ba-2010 standard

At 100Gbps, or a transfer rate of 12.5 gigabytes per second — ten times faster than Google Fiber

Germany's Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) had discovered the fastest world record wireless data transmission which is 100 gigabits per seconds.
this can transmits data over 20 meters by using a frequency of 237.5 GHz.
besides, Germany government make a project to bring broadband internet connection to rural and under connected areas.

the wireless signal was generated by a laser signal. it is an ideal technology to tack on the end of a fiber network
